Dr Stacey Thomson is a senior clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She provides a friendly, empathic, and non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to explore and understand their unique circumstances. Stacey’s approach is collaborative and tailored to each client, drawing on their strengths and goals.
Stacey has extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, parenting challenges, neurodiversity, and complex presentations. She also conducts ADHD, autism, and educational assessments, and offers couples therapy using the Gottman Method.
Her therapeutic approach includes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Gottman Method for couples. Stacey works alongside clients to develop individualised plans, build resilience, and promote wellbeing.
Stacey is also an experienced clinical supervisor and supports clinical staff within SA Psychology & Wellness.
