With Master’s degrees in both Clinical and Organisational Psychology, Karen Osborne holds dual AHPRA and APS recognised endorsements in clinical and organisational psychology. Her background adds value when working with individuals who have had a challenging time at work, or who are navigating difficult work transitions and therefore are struggling or distressed. Having worked as a registered psychologist in private practice since 2010, Karen has expertise in counselling and clinical interventions for individuals from adolescents to all stages of adult life. In addition, she has a depth of experience in the workplace impacts on mental health, resolution of interpersonal conflict, and corporate training and development on topics related to well-being and interpersonal communication.
Having made empathy in therapy the focus of a Master’s Thesis, Karen knows the importance of bringing unconditional compassion and understanding to the therapeutic relationship. She offers a warm, gentle and encouraging approach to building rapport from the first impression, and people find this makes it easy to tell their story and establish a collaborative relationship. Karen then brings humanity, sensitivity and humour to the task of making sense of and addressing problems through an individualised treatment plan.
Karen’s aim is to foster personal development in a safe setting that builds capacity to be better in how people think, feel and live.
