Charlie Newman is a provisionally registered psychologist completing his Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Adelaide. He is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely listened to, and understands that reaching out for help can feel daunting. Charlie is committed to making the therapeutic process approachable and comfortable for children, adolescents, and adults, and values the opportunity to work with individuals and families across all stages of life.
With a background in employment services and trauma counselling, Charlie brings valuable experience and a warm, empathetic approach to his work. He is skilled at building strong rapport with clients and families, helping them feel at ease and supported throughout their journey. Charlie uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy to assist clients in exploring challenges, building on strengths, and achieving meaningful change.
Charlie also provides ADHD, autism, and educational assessments, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. He enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and values the opportunity to learn each person’s story and support them in reaching their goals.
